8 Bollywood actors who underwent drastic transformation for their roles

Bollywood film industry may be all about films, talent etc but one thing we cannot deny is the importance of looks or on-screen appearance of the lead actors and actresses. Well, it is not easy for the actors to act, but they have to undergo a drastic transformation for some roles to meet the audience expectations. 1. Akshay Kumar – 2.0

Akshay Kumar went under massive transformation for the film 2.0. The make-up took him three and a half hours time to get ready for his shoot and a half hour to get it off.

2. Amitabh Bachchan – Paa

This was undisputedly one of the most extreme makeovers done in Bollywood till now. Amitabh Bachchan portrayed as Auro with the help of international make-up artists Tinsley and Dominie. He had to sit for five hours in his chair to look like Auro.

3. Rishi Kapoor – Kapoor & Sons

Rishi Kapoor was completely unrecognizable in his film Kapoor & Sons. He portrayed the role of 90-year old Dadu in the film. Rishi Kapoor’s make up in the film has been done by American artist Greg Cannom, who has worked in ‘Titanic’ (1997). Rishi Kapoor’s makeover for the movie cost almost Rs. 2 crore.

4. Rajkummar Rao – Raabta

Rajkummar Rao had a guest appearance in Raabta. He played the role of 324-year-old man in the film. The actor went through the tedious process of applying prosthetics for five-six hours every day for the look.

5. Randeep Hooda – Sarabjit

Randeep Hooda went under massive transformation and he was almost unrecognizable for his lead role in the movie Sarbjit. He has lost 18 Kgs in 28 days.

6. Aamir Khan – Ghajini

For Ghajini, Aamir khan devoted 9 months of time in the process of building his physique, losing weight and looking muscular. Aamir Khan’s transformation in the film did manage to stun us all.

7. Emraan Hashmi – Mr. X

Emraan Hashmi goes through an extreme transformation for Mr.X. He sports a bald, grudge look, which hardly any mainstream B-Town actor has ever tried before

8. Saif Ali Khan – Hunter

Saif Ali Khan has transformed into a Naga sadhu for the film Hunter. Kohl eyes, dreadlocks and unkempt beard, Saif looks unrecognisable in his look.  This rustic and raw avatar of Saif will surely gives you goosebumps.
