Deepika was seen in a sheer red and golden sari with heavy Kundan jewellery at her traditional Konkani ceremony which took place on November 14. While for her Sindhi ceremony, Deepika donned solid Kundan jewellery, with a mang tikka along with her big shiny engagement ring. Being the ultimate Sindhi bride, Deepika also wore chooda and kalire, while her dupatta had Mantra ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ written all over the border.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Italy on 11th December 2017. For her big day, Anushka wore a pale pink royal-feeling lehenga with a voluminous A-line skirt. The beaming bride completed her standout look with bridal jewellery from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection that was handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls. Aishwarya Rai married her Guru co-star Abhishek Bachchan on April 20, 2007. The wedding was a traditional affair, which was carefully guarded from the media glare. Aishwarya wore a traditional golden yellow Kanjeevaram saree on the D-day, complete with Swarovski crystals and gold threads. The bridal saree was designed by Neeta Lulla. She kept her hair braided, covered with flowers. She wore 22-carat gold jewellery, which included a gold and emerald armband.

For her wedding, Kareena wore her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore’s wedding gharara, which was restored by Ritu Kumar. Kareena later slipped into a Manish Malhotra designed burgundy colour lehenga with maroon dupatta. Kareena wore heavy gold and Kundan jewellery on both the occasions respectively.

Shilpa Shetty got married to a billionaire businessman Raj Kundra. Designed by the top-notch designer, Tarun Tahiliani, the gorgeous Shilpa Shetty Kundra wore a red-coloured saree designed graciously with around 8000 Swarovski crystals to add the bling factor. Adding to this, she wore kundan jewellery with uncut diamonds and emeralds.

7. Genelia D’Souza


Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh got married in two cultures- one in Christian wedding and the other in Maharashtrian wedding tradition. Bipasha Basu broke many hearts as she tied the knot with co-star and her Mr Right Karan Singh Grover in April 2016. The actress dazzled in her royal Rajashthani jadau and polki jewellery. She wore a Kundan and polki neckpiece, which was studded with green emeralds. Enhancing and topping up was her maang teeka, nose ring with a string and jhumkas.
